Opening Statements

Hello,

I welcome you to the "crazy ideas are out there" blog site. I hope you are doing well. I want to take this opportunity to tell you the purpose of this blog. This is to be a discussion of topics which by their very nature will be offensive to some people. I want this blog to be an open forum for Christian ideas and anti-Christian ideas. For those of you who are not Christians, I ask you to post your opinions, but I ask that your opinions be based in logic and open to legitimate criticism from me and other bloggers. If you cannot abide by these principles, I ask that you not contribute to this blog. The same principle applies to Christians. I will present opposition to your ideas where I feel that it is needed, and I expect you to do the same for me and others. Again, Christians, the ideas that are presented by the non-Christian must not be approached from a logical perspective. This site is not intended to be a forum for doctrinal ideas. If you have been offended by one side of the argument or the other, please share these ideas with the site. There is too much bitterness on both sides, and I want this site to be a clean slate. I realize that this is probably not going to be as successful as I would hope, but I must try.

Finally, there is an inherent risk in opening up your own ideas to legitimate criticism, and I challenge you to really consider the other point of view despite the risk.
